Where has the time gone?

Where has the time gone?

Seems like just yesterday all 4 of my children where running around playing and having a great time with each other and their cousins. We were always at home and easy to find. Boy time sure has changed!!!! Russell is 22 (as of 9-28-07) working hard and being a great big brother. He lives in Saluda. Logan is 13 1/2 in the 8th grade and doing very well in school. He is playing football for the middle school and loving it. He has practice Monday - Thursday until 5:30. With games on Wednesday's and then rushing to get to church for youth activities. As soon as football is over basketball starts and then baseball unitl football starts back again in August. Lindsay is also having a great year at school, she is 12 yrs. old, and loves being in Young Women's (at church) and in the 7th grade. She is part of the Show Choir (singing and dancing), on the Dance Team (which I help with), the Student Counsel and also takes tap and jazz/hip hop every Tuesday night from 7:00 - 8:00. She is also at school on Tuesday's and Thursday's until 5:30. She right now is practing for her audition for All-State (singing against about 2,000 students). Her audition is on Oct. 13th. Landon even though he is younger he is almost as busy as the rest. He is 9 yrs. old, in the 4th grade, and also doing very well in school. He is also playing football, for the Rec. Dept. He is the quarterback. Rusty is one of his coaches. Just like Logan, as soon as football is over it's time for basketball and baseball. People asked me how do I do it all. I tell them that working at the middle school is my down time, after school is when all of my running starts. I would much rather have my children busy with things that are good for them, than to have to much time on their hands. By the time that we get home each night, it is well past supper time. We are trying to get supper, baths, homework in, so we can all sit down together and read 1 chapter a night in our scriptures. Sometimes it's hard and late, but we strive to get it done. Sometimes I miss those quite nights when they were little and all in bed by 8:00. Then I think about how fast time is going by, and I won't have all of this running to do forever, and think how sad and quite it will be when everyone is grown up. Sometimes I do get very tired, and have to take a break, but I wouldn't change a thing. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband who supports me in my church callings, and also helps out very much with as much of the running that he can do. With 4 beautiful children who strive to be the best that they can. I'm very grateful my children do so well in school, and that it seems to come pretty easy to them. Here are some new pictures of the kids. I hope that you enjoy them. They are my PRIDE and JOY!!!!!!!

Rusty's surgery

Tuesday, Rusty had neck surgery. He had three disk that were herniated. When they got in, 2 of them they fused together and the other 1 was ruptured so they had to replace it with an artificial disk. We spent one night in the hospital. He is doing well. I will be going back to work tomorrow. I'll take him to the Dr. on Wednesday for a check up. He can't drive until he can move his head from side to side.
